Principe's design exemplifies an accurate, linear structure which differs from much of the rest of Forte dei Marmi's architectural style. Instead of round arches and pillars, straight lines and sharp forms have been used. The building has bold wooden windows which are framed with steel and wooden fins which can be removed and used as sun blinds. The facade of Principe is eye catching due to the regular window designs that break up each side of the building and create deep architectural lines.
From inside these windows capture the late afternoon sunlight and illuminate rooms with soft shadows and cascading light effects.
The entrance area is asymmetric and features a stylish glass and steel roofing immediately shading guests from the heat of the day and easing them straight into the comfort of the hotel. From the entrance, guests can look through the entire building due to the glass walls and doors to the garden at the back and the outdoor pool. Immediately the hotel gives a sense of space infused with natural light.
The serenity and elegance of the building continues on the floors above where 28 individually designed bedrooms with glass fronted bathrooms can be found. Each one gives a sense of freedom and sophistication. The materials used in the common areas and bedrooms are limited to wood, natural stone, neutral textiles, leather and a great deal of glass to create transparency, elegant simplicity and ease. The floors are made of oak whilst natural Spanish stone has been used to design the top quality features adding individual luxury to each room.
